How do I fix HealthKit sync issues?

Most sync issues come from missing permissions or paused background updates. Try the following:

  1. Check permissions:

    1. For HealthKit: Go to iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Apps → AlterMe and make sure all categories you want shared are enabled.

    2. For AlterMe: Go to My Profile → Apple Health and ensure permissions are toggled on.

  2. Open the AlterMe app:

    1. Opening the app forces a fresh sync with HealthKit.

  3. Confirm your device is signed into iCloud:

    1. HealthKit relies on iCloud to keep data consistent across devices.

  4. Restart your phone:

    1. This resets HealthKit services that occasionally stall in the background.
