To pair your ring, follow the steps blow based on your ring model.
AlterMe Classic Ring
Connect your ring charging case to a power source using the USB-C cable. A blue light should illuminate on the outside of the charging case, indicating the case is getting power.
Place your ring on the ring pedestal inside the charging case. Adjust the ring so it sits flush and aligned with the charging notches.
You should see the green sensor light on the inside of the ring illuminate. Let the ring charge for at least 30 minutes. A low battery can prevent pairing.
Ensure your phone’s Bluetooth is ON.
If this is your first login, you’ll be prompted to pair during onboarding.
If you logged in before receiving your ring, tap “Start setup” on the Today tab and follow the steps, or tap the ring icon in the upper right.
Note: Keep the ring within 1–2 ft of your phone, IN the charger, and pair in the app—not from your phone’s Bluetooth menu.
AlterMe Ultra Ring
Connect your ring charging case to a power source using the USB-C cable. A green light should illuminate on the outside of the charging case, indicating the case is getting power.
Reseat the ring on the charger—it should sit aligned with the ring charging notches at the top of the case. Make sure your Ultra Ring is pressed fully into the case. It should be a secure fit!

If you're having issues pairing your ring:
Try these troubleshooting steps.
Ensure you are on the latest AlterMe app version and your phone’s OS is up to date.
Make sure your ring charging case is plugged in, and you see the green sensor light flashing inside the ring—this ensures your ring is able to be found by your phone's Bluetooth.
Charge your ring first: Plug in the charging case, place the ring inside, and charge for 20–30 minutes (a low battery can prevent pairing).
Keep the case plugged in and place it right next to your phone during pairing.
Check your phone settings: Bluetooth ON and AlterMe has Bluetooth permissions enabled.
Restart the app by force quitting and reopening it. If issues persist, reinstall the app to refresh its settings.
If you encounter a "Hold ring closer to the phone" prompt, ensure the devices are close, force quit and reopen the app, or reinstall the app to troubleshoot further.
