AlterMe DNA kits make a great gift — and because a kit isn’t tied to anyone until it’s registered, gifting one is simple.
How it Works
Kits aren’t assigned to anyone at purchase. A kit becomes associated with a person at registration — when the kit ID and the user’s email or phone number are entered. So whoever receives the kit registers it under their own account, and from that point on the kit and its results are theirs.
For the Gift Giver
You don’t need to register the kit or set anything up. Just pass it along to the recipient.
For the Recipient
Register the kit using your own email or phone number. If you don't have an AlterMe account yet, you'll create one during registration — this is what ties the kit and its results to you.
Once registered, the kit and its results are associated with your account.
