Registering Multiple Kits
If you've purchased more than one AlterMe DNA kit, there are a few things to know before you register so everyone's results stay accurate.
Test kits aren't assigned to anyone at the time of purchase. A kit becomes associated with a person at the time of registration — when the kit ID and the user's email or phone number are entered. From that point on, that kit and its results are tied to that person.
What to Know Before Registering
1. Register each kit to the right person
Every kit produces one person's DNA profile, so each kit must be registered to the individual who provides that sample. Don't register multiple kits under a single name or profile — results will be tied to the wrong person.
2. Use a unique email or phone number per kit
Each kit needs its own unique email and phone number at registration. This is what keeps each kit distinct and ties it to the right person — so make sure every member registers with their own. The account used to register a kit becomes associated with that kit and its results.
Tips for Registering on Shared Devices
Log out after each kit. Staying signed in can auto-load the previous account, so logging out makes sure the next registration starts fresh.
