How should I care for my AlterMe Ring?

Best practices for your ring.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Simple best practices to maintain performance and longevity:

  • Charging: Give it a 20-minute daily top-up. A full charge typically takes ~2 hours (green light flashes while charging, solid when full).

  • Grip-heavy activities: For grip-heavy or impact activities (barbells/kettlebells, pull-ups, rock climbing, tools/handlebars), take the ring off to protect comfort, sensors, and finish.

  • Water care: Water-resistant to 5 ATM—fine for swimming, showering, and handwashing. Avoid high-pressure water and prolonged hot water (saunas/hot tubs). After salt or chlorine, rinse and dry.

  • Keep it clean: If dirty, wipe the sensors and band with a dry microfiber cloth.

  • Fit matters: Wear it snug (not tight) with sensors on the palm side; try to keep it on the same finger for consistent readings.

  • Store smart: When not wearing, seat it in the charging case or keep it dry and out of extreme heat/cold.
