Not usually. For most members, the sample will be run a second time after the member enrolls in the full AlterMe program for an analysis of the DNA+ traits. After the second analysis of the swab, the sample is destroyed.
In some cases, your original DNA swab may have already been destroyed by the time you enroll in the full program. We’ll mail you out a swab to re-test—just ask our Member Success Team if you have any questions.
