First of all, register your kit at alterme.com/register. Locate the Swab Kit ID and Swab PIN printed on your DNA swab package, and enter them carefully on the registration page. This step is critical to ensure we match your results with you.
Then, open the swab, rub the swab firmly against the inside of your cheek for 30–60 seconds, and place it into the collection tube. Ensure that the swab is placed securely in the tube to avoid contamination. After securing the sample, you can proceed with the packaging process as outlined in the kit instructions.
Seal the kit, follow the packaging instructions, and drop it into any USPS drop box, or drop it off at your local post office. You'll receive updates from us on the status of your DNA kit. Get excited! Once we receive your sample, our team will begin processing it and keep you updated on every stage, ensuring you stay informed.
