What do I do if my AlterMe Screen won't connect to Wi-Fi?

AlterMe app and screen connect via WiFi network

Updated over a month ago

If you’re having trouble connecting your screen, please check:

  • Mirror has power: Make sure the mirror is on and lit up. The AlterMe icon button on the right side is the power button. The master power switch is on the back near the bottom—ensure it’s ON.

  • App settings: On your phone, turn on Bluetooth and allow Local Network access for the AlterMe app.

  • App version: Update to the latest app version. Out-of-date apps can cause setup issues.

  • Phone on the right Wi-Fi: Your phone must be connected to the same Wi-Fi network you plan to use for the screen.

    • Tip: If you have dual-band Wi-Fi (2.5g and 5g for example), choose the band with the strongest signal where the screen will live, and make sure your phone is on that band during setup.

If you still have issues, please reach out to our support team and we’ll help.
