Why am I not receiving my verification code?

If your code hasn't arrived, try these steps in order:

  1. Check your filtered and spam messages.

    1. On iOS: iPhones increasingly route texts from unknown senders into a separate folder. Open Messages and look for a Filters or Unknown Senders list (tap the top-left of your inbox, or check the tabs at the top). On iPhone you can also go to Settings → Apps → Messages and review Filter Unknown Senders. Make sure our number isn't in your blocked list while you're there!

    2. On Android: open your Messages app and check for a Spam & blocked folder (usually in the menu or your profile icon, top-right).

  2. Wait up to 60 seconds. SMS can be slow!

  3. Restart your phone to reset your connection to your carrier.

  4. Confirm your phone has service to receive SMS.

  5. Make sure you entered a valid US mobile number. International numbers aren't supported.

  6. Check that the number isn't a VoIP or landline — texts won't deliver to those.
