Can I track non-AlterMe workouts?

Yes! We encourage you to do so.

1. Record in real time

  • Tap the Quick Action button (plus button on bottom right of app) → Record a session. Select your workout type. Your ring and app will capture your heart rate and deliver personalized insights as you go, including a workout summary at the end.

💡 This option gives you the most accurate calorie estimate, since AlterMe uses your live heart rate data from your ring.

2. Add a past session

  • Tap the Quick Action button ("+" icon, which may be in the center or right corner depending on your app version) to log a workout after the fact. From the menu that appears, select "Add a Past Session." Then, enter the workout details:

    • Specify the type of activity you completed.

    • Input the duration of the workout.

    • Optionally, include your perceived effort level.

    • Tap "Add Session" to save your workout. The app will automatically estimate the calories burned based on the details you provided. You won't get live insights, but AlterMe will still factor that activity into your programming and continued recommendations.

💡 Use this option if you forgot to record a workout or didn't wear your ring — just keep in mind your calorie estimate may be less accurate without live heart rate data. The app will still automatically estimate calories burned based on the activity type, duration, and perceived effort level you provide.

Keep in mind: The more workouts you record or log, the better AlterMe Intelligence can track your active calories and tailor your plans and recommendations to you. When you can, we always recommend logging your workouts.
