Yes! iOS users can edit their sleep duration directly in the AlterMe app. This feature helps correct small sleep discrepancies by letting you trim out periods when you are awake but your ring recorded sleep.
Android users: This feature is not available on Android yet, but we’re actively working on it.
When should I use this feature?
Editing sleep duration is useful when your sleep tracking includes time you were awake but in a restful state, such as:
Winding down at night (watching TV, reading, meditating)
Resting in the morning after waking up (lying still, relaxing)
These situations can sometimes look like sleep in your biometrics, even if you weren’t fully asleep.
Important things to know
You can only edit last night’s sleep
Sleep duration cannot be edited to less than 3.5 hours
A minimum of 3.5 hours is required for a full night of sleep to count and generate biometric insights
How to edit sleep duration (iOS)
Open the AlterMe app
Go to the Sleep section
Below the sleep duration graph, tap Edit Sleep
